I've been spending way too much time
at the computer for too many years, and
I've oft times stumbled across great
stuff, while looking for something else
altogether.
This section is all about
you. How you can literally start out on
the cheap, if necessary, in order to
expand your ministry into something
great, and grow as you grow.
Some of
the resources are the nuts and bolts
applications of the physical ministry
itself, but as those of us newer to
ministry know, ministry is a business.
We may be here to change lives, but if
you can't support yourself, you can't do
an effective job changing lives.
And
the Web is all about marketing. It's all
about reaching out to those who either
don't know about you, have no one
like-minded in their area they relate
to, or can't get to you, because of one
reason or another, but want to be part
of the experience. It's all about
"Outreach."
So here are a few things
that may get you started. It would be
great, if we all had MS Office, Adobe
InDesign Suite, and Quickbooks Pro, and
the other high end products that may be
part of a successful ministry, but
they're not free, and there are other
places we may choose to prioritize our
spending, like rent, electricity and
water(for coffee) and the like. Once we have
people coming in the door, and the bills
paid, then we can think about the
upgrades in technology and
infrastructure.
As this section grows,
I hope it grows by your questions, and
your sharing by your own real life
examples. If you have any questions I
